Standard purchases
Our preferred method is to buy a product through the same listing and ordering process available to an ordinary customer. The seller or brand is not informed before the order is placed.
Free or provided products
We may accept a product offered at no cost, but accepting it does not guarantee coverage, a deadline, approval rights, or a favorable result. The review will identify who provided it and whether shipping or other consideration was supplied.
A second unit after publication
If a seller or brand sends another unit after seeing a report, it will be tested as a separate sample. If the provided unit performs as advertised while the retail unit did not, both outcomes will be published. That difference shows how the two samples performed, but it does not by itself prove why they differed.
No return of editorial control
Products are not accepted in exchange for scripted language, required ratings, advance approval, removal of unfavorable findings, or restrictions that prevent honest testing. Unsafe, illegal, unsuitable, or unsolicited items may be refused or disposed of.

Do not ship a product without first contacting us. Email contact@proofofpurchase.org with the product, company, relationship, and proposed arrangement.
