Do sellers know before you order?
No. Standard review purchases are placed without identifying the order as a test or asking the seller to select a unit.
Do you accept free products?
Sometimes, but they are labeled as provided samples and do not replace the record of a separately purchased unit. Acceptance never guarantees a favorable review.
Why test more than one unit?
A second unit can show whether two samples behave the same way. It cannot, by itself, prove why they differ or what every customer receives.
Why are some test results still in progress?
Large storage devices can take days to fill and verify. Publishing the current status with clear interim labels is more honest than pretending a long-running test has already produced a final number.
Why is there no purchase link on some reviews?
We do not provide a sales path to a product that failed an important claim or did not earn a recommendation. A link can also be omitted when the exact listing is uncertain.
Can a seller respond?
Yes. Sellers and brands can submit evidence or a response, provided they disclose their connection. Relevant responses and additional tests may be added to the review.
Can I request a correction?
Yes. Use the Corrections and Updates page for what to send. A specific statement and supporting evidence help us review the request quickly.
How can I suggest a product?
Use the Suggest a Product page and include the exact listing, advertised claim, and where you saw it.
Is Proof of Purchase connected to ReportFakeAds.com?
Yes. ReportFakeAds.com is a sister site focused on helping people document and report deceptive advertising. Proof of Purchase focuses on buying products and testing what arrives.
