Accountability after publication

Corrections and updates.

A test report is a record of what we found, but it is not frozen when better information becomes available.

Corrections

Factual errors are corrected as soon as they can be confirmed. A meaningful correction includes a note explaining what changed. Small spelling or formatting repairs may be made without a separate notice.

Test updates

Long-running tests, additional units, teardown results, seller responses, and later reliability problems may be added to the original review. The page will identify interim numbers when a test is not yet complete.

Seller and brand responses

A seller or brand may provide evidence, context, or a response for consideration. A response does not buy control over the review, and relevant claims may be tested or presented with appropriate context.

Requesting a correction

Email contact@proofofpurchase.org with the review URL, the specific statement, the proposed correction, and supporting evidence. Disagreement by itself is not evidence that a statement is inaccurate.
